The Blue Lake project is located approximately 180 km southeast of Kugluktuk and approximately 460 km north northeast of Yellowknife.

Size:
The Blue Lake project consists of 669.7 ha of Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) parcel (CO-44) of Inuit owned Lands (IOL).

Ownership:
100% North Arrow.

Highlights:
  • Till sampling on property has identified a kimberlitic mineral train (probe confirmed).
  • Property contains untested magnetic and electromagnetic anomalies with kimberlitic type signatures.
Summary:
The Blue Lake project was initiated after a review of publicly available till sampling data indicated a significant indicator mineral train on the property. Sampling by Strongbow Resources Inc. in 2003 and 2004 confirmed and expanded the mineral train. The distribution of mineral grains suggests multiple bedrock sources are likely located within the property but currently remain unidentified. In 2004 Strongbow carried out a helicopter electromagnetic and magnetic survey which indicated a number of magnetic and electromagnetic anomalies with kimberlitic signatures. These anomalies require ground truthing.
