About North Arrow Minerals
Our Journey
North Arrow Minerals was formed in 2007 as a spinout from Strongbow Exploration Inc., founded by mining industry pioneer Gren Thomas. Initially established to advance Strongbow's northern Canadian projects, North Arrow built a diverse portfolio spanning gold, silver, base metals, diamonds, and lithium across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
During a brief global surge in lithium interest in 2008, North Arrow expanded into North Carolina, consolidating privately owned mineral claims into a substantial land package that now forms a significant portion of Piedmont Lithium's Carolina Lithium Project.
Diamond Focus
In 2013, North Arrow underwent a strategic restructuring to concentrate exclusively on Canadian diamond opportunities. For the next decade, the company advanced a portfolio of promising diamond properties across Canada, including the Naujaat (NU), Pikoo (SK), and Loki (NWT) Projects—assets that remain part of North Arrow's portfolio today.
Strategic Evolution
As market conditions evolved, North Arrow demonstrated its agility by developing three NWT-based hard-rock lithium projects throughout 2023 and 2024, capitalizing on the renewed surge in lithium exploration. These properties were successfully sold to LiFT Power in early 2025 as the company prepared for its next strategic pivot.
A significant leadership transition occurred in mid-2024 when Eira Thomas stepped into the role of Chair of the Board, succeeding her father. Eira, drawing on her extensive experience running Lucara Diamonds in Botswana, introduced a compelling new opportunity: the Kraaipan Gold Project.
New Horizons: Gold in Botswana
Today, North Arrow is earning a 60% interest from Rockman Resources in the Kraaipan Gold Project, exploring for gold in Botswana along the northern extension of the Kraaipan Greenstone Belt. This goldproducing geological formation is well understood in South Africa but remains underexplored on the Botswana side of the border due to the sand cover of the Kalahari Desert—presenting a unique opportunity for discovery.
Technical Excellence
North Arrow's exploration programs are conducted under the direction of Kenneth Armstrong, P.Geo. (NWT/NU, ON), Chairman of North Arrow and a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Ken has been a cornerstone of North Arrow's team since the company's inception in 2007 and has worked alongside both Eira and Gren Thomas for over 30 years, dating back to their collaboration during the development of the Diavik Diamond Mine in the late 1990s.
